What Is an Industrial Air Curtain?

An industrial air curtain is a heavy-duty air barrier installed above large doorways to provide a powerful stream of air that separates interior and exterior environments. Unlike standard models, industrial air curtains are specifically designed to perform in harsh, high-traffic areas and across tall or wide openings, such as shipping bays, loading docks, and freight entrances.

These units prevent temperature loss, block flying insects and debris, reduce dust infiltration, and minimize condensation and fog formation in refrigerated environments — all without obstructing traffic flow.

Key Features & Benefits

Our Industrial Air Curtains deliver powerful performance, durability, and energy savings, offering essential protection and operational advantages for high-traffic, industrial-grade openings.

01.

Energy Efficiency
  • Significantly reduces HVAC costs by maintaining climate zones and preventing temperature loss.
  • Prevents hot or cold air intrusion during door-open cycles, reducing air curtain payback periods.
  • Reduces energy waste at large exterior openings where doors are frequently in use.
02.
Enhanced Protection
  • Blocks airborne particles, fumes, and dust, especially useful in industrial production or logistics settings.
  • Helps control humidity and condensation in cold storage and refrigerated docks.
  • Prevents flying insects and outdoor pollutants from entering facilities.
03.
Productivity & Workflow Support
  • Allows unobstructed access for forklifts, carts, and personnel while still maintaining indoor conditions.
  • Enables improved safety by reducing visibility-blocking plastic strips or physical doors.
  • Keeps work environments cleaner and safer, improving product quality and staff comfort.
04.
Durable, High-Capacity Performance
  • Engineered to cover extra-wide (up to 20+ feet) and extra-tall (up to 30+ feet) openings.
  • Utilizes powerful motors, high-velocity fans, and heavy-gauge steel or aluminum housings.
  • Designed for continuous operation in rugged, 24/7 environments.

05.

Optional Heating Capabilities
  • Models available with electric, steam, or hot water heating options to introduce warm air during cold seasons.
  • Maintain interior comfort while doors remain open for operations.

Model Options & Customization

We offer multiple industrial air curtain models designed to meet your facility’s height, width, and environment requirements:

01.

TITAN Series
  • Ideal for tall doors (up to 20 feet), loading docks, and large-scale manufacturing access points.
02.
TITAN HSA (High Static Application)

Delivers high-velocity air for sites requiring maximum separation and wind resistance.

03.
IND & ACI Series
  • Offers powerful performance for industrial and light industrial use, suitable for non-heated and heated configurations.

Each unit is customizable in:

  • Width & Height Coverage: Available in widths from 36″ to over 168″ and heights up to 30+ feet.
  • Finish Options: Stainless steel for corrosion resistance, or custom powder-coated finishes to match facility aesthetics.
  • Heating Configurations: Choose from electric, hot water, steam, or unheated models based on climate needs.
  • Controls & Automation: Integrate with building management systems (BMS), PLCs, or install manual/automatic door switches and thermostatic control.
  • Airflow Adjustability: Multi-speed fans allow control of air velocity based on seasonal changes or interior pressure.
  • Mounting Brackets & Installation Kits: Designed to fit unique building layouts or non-standard openings.

Mounting Options: Horizontal vs. Vertical

01.

Horizontal Mounting (Above the Opening):

Most common configuration. Ideal when there is adequate headroom above the door. Provides uniform air coverage from top down.

02.

Vertical Mounting (Side of the Opening):

Perfect for locations with limited headroom or obstructions above the door. Units are mounted on one or both sides of the doorway. Creates a side-to-side air barrier across the opening.

Our team will assess your space constraints and operational requirements to determine the best mounting configuration for maximum performance and minimal intrusion.
